A new chapter of junior hockey in Hamilton is being forged.
The Hamilton Kilty B’s are officially moving forward as the Hamilton Steel Jr Hockey Club, a future-focused step that strengthens the connection between junior hockey and the city’s rapidly growing Steel minor hockey programs.
The team will continue to compete in the Greater Ontario Hockey League, but the organization believes this move represents the next level of growth for hockey in Hamilton.
Hamilton’s identity is built on strength, pride, and community — values that mirror the culture of hockey in the region. Moving forward as the Hamilton Steel Jr Hockey Club strengthens the connection between the junior team and the growing network of Hamilton Steel minor hockey programs.
For players and families across the city, this represents the next level of development, creating a clearer pathway for young athletes to grow within the same hockey system and aspire to reach the junior ranks.
“This is an exciting step forward for our organization,” said team leadership. “The Steel name carries strength in Hamilton, and connecting with our minor hockey teams and families was a crucial next step. We’re excited about what’s ahead for our fans and for all members of the Steel family.”
With strong roots in the community and a focus on developing local talent, the Hamilton Steel Jr Hockey Club is ready to forge the next chapter of junior hockey in Hamilton.
